The Trial Operation of 400-meter Frontage on the West of Guang'ao Port Area of Shantou Port will be Conducted at the End of This Year

According to Shantou Port Master Plan (2012-2030) , as a main port area which will be developed in Shantou City, Guang'ao Port Area will focus on the transport of containers, petroleum chemicals and bulk cargo, with port land area of 13.6 square kilometers, 39 deep-water berths to be built, annual throughput capacity of 130 million tons and 8 million TEUs in the short and medium-term planning.

At present, the construction of key projects of Guang'ao Port Area is advancing smoothly.Among others, RMB 1,51 billion has been invested for the construction of two 100,000-ton container berths of phase II project, and the 400-meter frontage on the west side is planned to be put into trial operation at the end of this year.In addition, the land has bee acquired for the supporting storage area of 20,000-ton petrochemical wharf project of Guang'ao Port Area, the design work of which is being carried out.Currently, the feasibility study and the special demonstration report are being prepared for phase III project of Guang'ao Port Area, closely next to phase II project.The length of the frontage of phase III project is about 1,200 meters. Three container berths are planned to be built, so as to meet the needs for goods transport, especially container transport, in eastern Guangdong.

  根据《汕头港总体规划 (2012-2030年)》,广澳港区作为我市今后发展的主体港区,以集装箱运输、石油化工品和散杂货运输为主,近、中期规划港区陆域面积13.6平方公里,共规划建设39个深水泊位,年通过能力1.3亿吨和800万标箱。
  目前广澳港区各重点项目建设顺利推进。其中,二期工程2个10万吨级集装箱泊位建设累计已完成投资15.1亿元,西侧400米码头岸线计划今年底投入试运行。此外,广澳港区2万吨级石化码头工程配套库区已完成征地,正在开展设计工作。紧邻二期工程的广澳港区三期项目,目前也正开展可行性研究及专题论证报告编制工作。项目岸线长度约1200米,拟建设3个集装箱泊位,满足粤东片区货物特别是集装箱运输需求。
