On October 24, the on-site technical exchange meeting of China's "Blue Bay Action Contributing to Marine Ecological Civilization Construction" was held in Shantou. The Shantou Nan'ao Blue Bay Remediation Project successfully implemented by CCCC Guangzhou Dredging made an exchange about the typical case at the meeting. The project has implemented comprehensive remediation, water ecological restoration and marine environment monitoring in Nan'ao's fives bays including Jin'ao Bay, Chishi Bay's ten-mile silver beach, Yandun Bay, Zhuqidu Bay and Longmen Bay, and has achieved the goal of marine ecological civilization construction of "clear water, green shore, clean beach, beautiful bay and bright island". It will be built as a new engine of tourism economic development for Nan'ao Island to strive for becoming a 5A scenic spot.
  
In 2016, the State Oceanic Administration launched the “Blue Bay Remediation Action” project, and Guangdong Shantou, Shandong Rizhao and Fujian Pingtan became the first pilot cities in China. The Shantou Nan'ao Blue Bay Remediation Project is the first blue bay project of China Communications Construction Company Ltd. This project was selected into the Picture Exhibition Celebrating 40-year Reform and Opening by the National Museum in 2018, and was selected into the First Top Ten Examples of Ecological Restoration of Land and Space of Guangdong Province this October.

汕头试点“全国蓝色海湾整治行动”

10月24日，中国“蓝色海湾行动助力海洋生态文明建设”现场技术交流会在我市召开，由中交疏浚广航局成功实施的汕头南澳蓝色海湾整治项目在会上作典型交流。该项目对南澳县金澳湾、赤石湾十里银滩、烟墩湾、竹栖肚湾、龙门湾5个海湾进行综合整治、水生态修复和海洋环境监测等，实现了“水清、岸绿、滩净、湾美、岛丽”海洋生态文明建设目标，将打造成为南澳岛冲击5A景区的旅游经济发展新引擎。
