On December 5th, the Hengshan Tunnel of Shantou Section of Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway, a key construction project in Guangdong Province and Shantou City, had been completed, opening the lifeline of the project's construction and production, providing a fast path for the allocation of resources such as earth and stone, and creating a favorable condition for the rapid advancement of project's construction and production. So far, all of 3 tunnels in Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway within Shantou City have been completed.
  
Investment of 6.48 billion yuan has been made since the construction of Shantou Section of Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway was initiated in February 2017, contributing to 88.7% of the total investment in Shantou Section. At present, the project unit is taking advantage of the golden period of construction to ensure that it is basically completed by the end of this year (excluding the weak subgrade) and fully completed for traffic in June 2020.

汕湛高速汕头段横山隧道贯通

　　12月5日，广东省、汕头市重点建设项目汕湛高速汕头段横山隧道全面贯通，打通了项目施工生产的生命线，为全线的土石方等资源调配提供了快速通道，为项目施工生产的快速推进创造了有利条件。至此，汕湛高速汕头境内3座隧道全部贯通。

汕湛高速汕头段自2017年2月启动建设以来，已完成投资64.8亿元，占汕头段总投资的88.7%。目前，项目单位正抓住施工黄金时期，确保今年底基本建成（软基段除外），2020年6月建成通车。
