On February 15, regular flight between Chaoshan and Taoyuan Airport was officially launched and the Shantou Association of Taiwan Businessmen, for this occasion in particular, organized over 30 members to take the first flight to join their families in Taiwan for the Spring Festival reunion.
The Chaoshan-Taoyuan flight, operated by (China Southern) Shantou Airlines Company Limited, adopts brand-new Boeing 737-800 passenger craft, and flies three times every week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday with an airborne hour of approximately one hour. In 2013, (China Southern) Shantou Airlines Company Limited opened chartered flights from Chaoshan to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, which was then cancelled in August 2014. The launch of this regular flight will increase the number of flights of fixed schedule and make it easier for Taiwan compatriots to book their air tickets.

潮汕至桃园机场正班航班开通
2月15日，潮汕至桃园机场正班航班正式开通，汕头台商协会特别组织了30多人组团搭乘首次航班返台与家人团圆过春节。
执飞潮汕至桃园航线的南航汕头航空公司采用全新波音737－800型客机，每周三班，分别为周二、四、日，飞行时间约1个小时。2013年汕航曾开通潮汕至台湾高雄临时包机航线，并于2014年8月取消。改为正班航班后，不仅航班班次有所增加，航班班期和时间也相对固定，台胞购买往返机票也将更为方便。
