From June 23 to June 30, Shantou city sent a delegation to Brussels, Belgium to attend a series of meetings and communication activities regarding China-Europe regional policy cooperation, which were jointly hosted by the NDRC and the regional and urban policy headquarters of the European commission. During this period, a memorandum on pairing cooperation between pilot areas for China-Europe regional policy cooperation was signed between Shantou and Andalusia, Spain. This is the first official appearance of Shantou on the China-Europe cooperation arena, and Shantou has become one of the five pilot areas in China along with Tianjin and other cities.

According to the memorandum, we will carry out practical cooperation with Andalusia, Spain in various fields such as regional sustainable development, technological innovation, financial innovation, industry upgrade, intellectual property protection, city construction, and cultural and educational exchanges. We will strengthen communication and liaison, actively promote economic, trade and technological cooperation between companies in the two regions, and encourage two-way investment and cooperation and communication between scientific research, education and cultural organizations in the two regions.

　　6月23日至30日，我市组团赴比利时布鲁塞尔参加国家发改委与欧盟委员会地区与城市政策总司联合主办的中欧区域政策合作系列会议和交流活动，期间与西班牙安达卢西亚地区签署了中欧区域政策合作试点地区结对合作备忘录。这是汕头首次正式亮相中欧合作舞台，成为包括天津等市在内的中国五个试点地区之一。

　　根据备忘录，我市将与西班牙安达卢西亚地区开展区域可持续发展、科技创新、金融创新、产业升级、知识产权保护、城市建设、人文交流等多领域的务实合作，加强沟通联络，并积极推动两地企业开展经贸与技术合作，鼓励双向投资，鼓励双方科研、教育、文化等机构开展合作交流。
