With the invitation of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People＇s Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region, the group of 40 people composed of the foreign consular officers in Hong Kong and Macao from 18 countries including Singapore, Bangladesh and Thailand, which was headed by Fu Guangshen, Consul General of Singapore in Hong Kong, visited Shantou City on April 20 to April 21, accompanied by Cai Siping, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People＇s Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region.

In the afternoon on April 21, in the meeting, Mayor Zheng Renhao welcomed the Group of Foreign Consular Officers in Hong Kong and Macao and introduced the economic and social development of Shantou. He hoped that, through this visiting of the Group of Foreign Consular Officers in Hong Kong and Macao, both parties would achieve further exchanges and engagement, promote economic and cultural exchanges at all levels, and drive both parties to conduct practical cooperation. Fu Guangshen and Cai Siping fully affirmed and highly praised Shantou＇s economic and social achievements. Fu Guangshen said that, through this visiting, the members of the Group had a good and deep impression on Shantou and they would publicize the development achievements and investment opportunities of Shantou, as well as promote the investors of their respective countries to inspect Shantou, to invest on starting businesses in Shantou and to seek common development.

　　应外交部驻澳门特派员公署邀请，由新加坡驻香港总领事傅光燊任团长，新加坡、孟加拉、泰国等18个国家领事官员组成的外国驻港澳领团一行40人，在外交部驻澳门特派员公署副特派员蔡思平的陪同下，于4月20日至21日访问我市。
　　4月21日下午，市长郑人豪在会见中对外国驻港澳领团一行的到来表示欢迎，并介绍了汕头经济社会发展情况。他希望外国驻港澳领团一行通过此次访问，实现双方进一步交流对接，促进各层次经济文化交往，推动双方开展务实合作。傅光燊、蔡思平对汕头经济社会取得的成就表示充分肯定和高度赞赏。傅光燊表示通过此次访问对汕头留下了美好而深刻的印象，领团成员将把汕头的发展成就和投资机会进行宣传，推介本国投资者到汕头考察、投资创业，共谋发展。
