Shantou will Formulate Local Food Safety Standards on “Shantou’s Salted Vegetable”

Local food safety standards are the food safety standards with local characteristics, which are of great significance to promote the healthy competition and develop characteristic economy of the food industry in the region. After Shantou Society of Testing and Inspection formulated the local food safety standards on Shantou’s Stewed Beef Meatballs last year, this year it will formulate the local food safety standards on another local characteristic food —— “Shantou’s Salted Vegetable”.
 

“Shantou’s Salted Vegetable” is one of the famous “Three Treasures” of Chaoshan, which are renowned both at home and abroad with their unique flavor and taste and are deeply favored and liked by Teochew people all over the world. At present, a large-scale production and marketing network has been formed. Formulating local food safety standards is conducive to the healthy development of Shantou’s characteristic food industry.

汕头将制定“汕头咸菜”食品安全地方标准


  食品安全地方标准是具有地方特色的食品安全规范,对于促进区域内食品产业的良性竞争和发展特色经济,具有十分重要的意义。汕头检验检测学会继去年制定《汕头牛肉丸》食品安全地方标准后,今年又将制定我市另一地方特色食品——“汕头咸菜”食品安全地方标准。

  “汕头咸菜”是著名的潮汕三宝之一,其以独特的口感和味道享誉中外,深受全世界潮汕侨胞的青睐与喜欢,目前已形成较大规模的产、销网络。制定食品安全地方标准,有助于促进汕头特色食品行业健康发展。
