On the afternoon of October 9, a delegation of China Minmetals Corporation led by Sun Xiaomin, Vice President of China Minmetals Corporation and Deputy Chairman of China Minmetals Co., Ltd. visited Shantou, to further promote the construction of East Guangdong Logistics New Town Project and deepen the exchange.

Li Feng, Secretary of CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, and Zheng Renhao, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shantou Municipal Committee and Acting Mayor met the delegation. Li Feng hopes that both sides may give play to their own advantages, speed up to implement the agreement contents, and fully promote the construction of East Guangdong Logistics New Town Project to further deepen the cooperation so that the limited land resources can produce the maximum benefits. Zheng Renhao said, Shantou would further intensify the service consciousness and improve the service efficiency, to ensure the construction of the
Project is boosted rapidly by the hyper-conventional measures.

Sun Xiaomin said, Minmetals is full of confidence on the investment in Shantou, and would further increase the investment promotion efforts, to attract more large well-known enterprises to participate in the construction and development of the Logistics Park, striving to form the industrial cluster in three years.

　　市委书记李锋，市委副书记、代市长郑人豪会见了孙晓民一行。李锋希望双方发挥各自优势，加紧落实协议内容，全力推动粤东物流新城项目建设;进一步深化合作，让有限的土地资源发挥出最大的效益。郑人豪表示，汕头将进一步强化服务意识，提高办事效率，以超常规的举措确保项目建设快速推进。
　　孙晓民表示，五矿集团对在汕头的投资充满信心，将进一步加大招商引资力度，吸引更多大型知名企业参与物流园区的建设和发展，力争三年形成产业集群。
