On March 26, the economic and trade delegation of the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association consisting of 40 people paid a visit to enterprises in Shantou to seek business partners and establish friendly cooperation relations with Shantou Association of Industry and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce).

While meeting the delegation, Deputy Mayor Zhao Hong said, Shantou now is confronted with great opportunities and development potential. Zhao hoped the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association and entrepreneurs could visit Shantou more often, do investment in Shantou, pay close attention and give support to the development of Shantou as usual, in order to promote the economic and trade exchange and cooperation between both sides. During the visit, the delegation made some deep exchanges with the departments concerned and the entrepreneurs regarding further enhancing the economic and trade cooperation. They also paid a visit to Shantou Urban and Rural Planning Exhibition Hall, Guangdong AIWA Group, and Guangdong LAF Daily Chemicals Co., Ltd., etc.

　　3月26日，菲律宾新联公会赴广东经贸考察团一行40人莅汕，参观考察我市企业，寻找贸易合作伙伴，并与市工商联(总商会)缔结友好合作关系。
　　副市长赵红在会见考察团时表示，汕头目前面临很大的机遇和发展潜力，希望菲新联公会和企业家多到汕头观光考察，投资兴业，一如既往关心、支持汕头的发展，推动汕头与菲律宾的经贸交流与合作。在汕期间，考察团一行与市直有关部门和企业家就加强经贸合作进行了深入交流，还参观了汕头城乡规划展示厅和广东爱华集团、广东拉芳日化有限公司等。
