On July 12, Lu Chun, Chairman of China Three Gorges Corporation, and His Party inspected Shantou and had in-depth exchanges with Shantou on the cooperation in offshore wind power and other new energy fields.

In the discussion, Chen Liangxian, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, said that Shantou is rich in marine resources with broad space and Shantou would welcome China Three Gorges Corporation to participate in Shantou’s preliminary planning and study on the development of offshore wind power so as to make offshore wind power industry bigger and stronger and  promote Shantou to accelerate the revitalization and development.Lu Chun said that Shantou is an important node city of China’s "Belt and Road" strategy, is very rich in wind power resources and is one of the best areas of offshore wind power resource endowment in China.China Three Gorges Corporation would boost Shantou to accelerate the revitalization and development, participate in the reform of placing electric system, jointly explore the establishment of industrial fund, support the development of new and high technology, incubate a number of emerging industries, build high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and make offshore wind power industry chain bigger and stronger.

　　7月12日，中国三峡集团董事长卢纯一行莅汕考察，与我市就海上风电等新能源领域合作进行深入交流。
　　市委书记陈良贤在座谈中表示，汕头海洋资源丰富、空间广阔，欢迎三峡集团参与汕头海上风电开发的前期规划研究，做大做强海上风电产业，推动汕头加快振兴发展。卢纯表示，汕头是国家“一带一路”战略重要节点城市，风电资源非常丰富，是国内海上风电资源禀赋最好的地区之一。三峡集团愿意助力汕头加快振兴发展，参与汕头配售电体制改革，共同探讨建立产业基金，支持高新技术发展，孵化一批新兴产业，打造高端装备制造业，做大做强海上风电产业链。
