Recently, three parcels of land to be used for business project, which is located in Xinjin Area of Shantou East Coast New Town and covers an area of about 1.29 square kilometers, passed the final acceptance jointly organized by the Ocean and Fisheries Bureau of Guangdong Province and the Department of Land Resources of Guangdong Province, which marks that all the "gateways" for listing the land of Shantou East Coast New Town Project have been cleared and thus lays a solid foundation for key industrial projects to settle down in Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Area.

The final acceptance for the project of reclaiming land from sea is significant step of transforming the construction sea into the construction land and is an essential condition for listing the land reclaimed from sea. In April, 2008, State Oceanic Administration officially approved in writing the overall planning of construction sea of Shantou East Coast New Town Project, covering a planned sea area of 18.85 square kilometers, which is planned to be accepted by 42 parcels of sea use. The planning attribute of the three parcels of sea use which were accepted this time is the land used for business.

　　汕头东海岸新城新津片区3宗约1．29平方千米经营性用地项目日前通过省海洋渔业局和省国土资源厅联合组织的竣工验收，标志汕头东海岸新城项目土地挂牌上市的所有“关口”已全部通过，为重点产业项目落地华侨试验区打下了坚实基础。
　　填海竣工海域验收是将建设用海转换为建设用地的标志性环节，是填海土地挂牌上市的必备条件。2008年4月，国家海洋局批复同意汕头东海岸新城项目建设用海总体规划，规划用海总面积18．85平方千米，拟分42宗验收。本次通过验收的3宗用海项目，规划属性均为经营性用地。
