Shantou government signed the Strategic Cooperation Frame Agreement on the afternoon of September 26 with China Merchants Port Holdings Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, both parties will make concerted efforts in accelerating the construction, development and operation of Shantou Port and its supporting industries. Besides, the agreement aims to advance the development of integrated logistics in Shantou, promote the establishment of Shantou bonded area and enhance the overall performance of the integrated logistics of Shantou Port. Under this framework, both parties bear the ambition to establish Shantou Port as the most important integrated port in Eastern Guangdong.

　　9月26日下午，市政府与招商局港口控股有限公司举行战略合作框架协议签订仪式。根据协议，双方将围绕把汕头港建设成为粤东地区最重要的综合性港口的目标，共同加快汕头港口建设、开发和运营以及相关配套产业发展，加快汕头市综合物流发展，探讨合作推动汕头保税区建设，提升汕头港综合物流水平。
