On the morning of October 12,Shantou municipal government, Haojiangdistrict government and Shantou municipal transport bureau respectively signed the cooperation agreement with BYD Group and BYD Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. The BYD straddle-type monorail and relevant industries, with a total investment of RMB 56 billion including the first phase investment of RMB 12billion, have officially settled in Shantou. Both sides will work together to develop the light rail high-end equipment manufacturing industry and urban rail transit, implement the state structural reform of the supply side, and promote the construction of the port economic zone.

　　10月12日上午，市政府、濠江区政府和市交通运输局分别与比亚迪集团、汽车工业有限公司签署合作协议，总投资达560亿元、首期投资120亿元的比亚迪跨座式单轨及相关产业正式落户汕头，双方将携手在汕头建设轻轨高端装备制造业和城市轨道交通，落实国家供给侧结构性改革，推动临港经济区建设。
