In order to strengthen ties and promote friendly relations with hometown folks, on February 7, more than 20 people from the Chaoshan Visiting Delegation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce led by Hu Jianjiang, President of the Chamber of Commerce and head of the visiting delegation, and Chen Younan, honorable head of the visiting delegation, inspected Shantou. Shantou Committee of Chinese People＇s Political Consultative Conference and the visiting delegation had discussions and exchanges.

At the meeting, Xie Zesheng, Chairman of Shantou Committee of Chinese People＇s Political Consultative Conference, hoped that overseas hometown folks would, through the contact platform of the Chinese People＇s Political Consultative Conference, provide more valuable advices for boosting the development of Shantou. Hu Jianjiang said that Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce would give full play to its linking role, actively unite the talents at home and abroad, support for strengthening the ties between Shantou and other places around the world, assist in the introduction of high-tech and innovative industries to settle in Shantou, and support for the development of Shantou.
