n the morning of February 28, Ou Jialin and Chen Yuzhao, Chairmen of the General Chamber of Commerce of Chaoshan Businessmen in the United Sates, and their party visited Shantou and had discussions with Shantou City on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation.
 

At the meeting, Chen Liangxian, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, said that Shantou is the common home of Chaoshan people at home and abroad. He hoped that overseas fellow townsmen would often visit their hometown, give full play to their advantages, offer more advices for the development of Shantou, actively invest in their hometown and boost the overall revitalization and development of Shantou.
 

Ou Jialin and Chen Yuzhao said that the General Chamber of Commerce of Chaoshan Businessmen in the United Sates would give full play to its bridging and linking role, publicize and introduce to more townsmen residing in the United Sates about the current good development trend of Shantou, attract more overseas Chinese to actively participate in the construction of their hometown, and contribute to the overall revitalization and development of Shantou.
