Recently, the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government issued the Several Measures of Shantou Municipality on Promoting Scientific and Technological Innovation and Development, which would deliver "gift packs" in 16 aspects including cultivating and developing high and new tech enterprises, providing financial subsidies for corporate research and development, establishing municipal special science and technology projects, and encouraging the technological transformation of industrial enterprises. Among others, the highest financial subsidies for a municipal special science and technology project may reach RMB 1 million. Furthermore, these Measures fully support and guide enterprises to accelerate innovation and development so that they can be better, larger and stronger and revitalize the real economy.
