Recently, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council officially replied in writing and approved the establishment of Qiaomengyuan Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Industrial Agglomeration Area (hereinafter referred to as "Qiaomengyuan") in Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Area (hereinafter referred to as "Overseas Chinese Pilot Area"), so as to build a platform for overseas Chinese to gather, develop and innovate.

Shantou "Qiaomengyuan" will give full play to the double advantages of the special zone＇s statutory powers of enacting laws and the exploration of new approaches by the Overseas Chinese Pilot Area, conduct in-depth study of the needs of the overseas Chinese in entry and exit services, making investments and starting businesses, getting employed, settling down and other aspects, move faster to make innovations in the policies, introduce a series of replicable and propagable policies and measures to serve overseas Chinese,so that the resource advantages of overseas Chinese in industrial clusters and technological innovations can be agglomerated here,to promote the integration development of the Overseas Chinese Pilot Area withthe capital, wisdom and technology of overseas Chinese. Meanwhile, "Qiaomengyuan" will strengthen domestic and overseas exchanges and cooperation in technological innovations, establishnew systems for serving overseas Chinese, strive to become a core carrier of the innovation initiatives of overseas Chinese and an agglomeration area of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, industries and overseas high-end talents, and boost the overall revitalization and coordinated development of Shantou.

　　近日，国务院侨办批复同意在汕头华侨经济文化合作试验区设立“侨梦苑”，打造华侨华人聚集发展创新平台。
　　汕头“侨梦苑”将发挥特区立法权和华侨试验区先行先试的双重优势，深入研究广大华人华侨在出入境服务、投资创业、就业安家等方面的需求，加快政策创新，推出一系列可复制、可推广的为侨服务的政策措施，使这里聚集起产业集群和科技创新上的“侨”资源优势，促进侨资侨智侨技与华侨试验区融合发展。同时，加强“侨梦苑”与国内外开展科技创新交流合作，构建“为侨服务”新体系，努力将“侨梦苑”打造成万侨创新行动核心载体、侨商产业和海外高端人才聚集区，助推汕头加快全面振兴、协调发展。
