On the morning of December 15, the unveiling ceremony of Shantou GDH Water Company Limited was held, and the official operation was started. According to the Agreement, GDH Water increased capital and shares of RMB 1.7 billion in Shantou Waterworks General Company and held 51％ of the shares of the Company; the Company was accordingly renamed Shantou GDH Water Company Limited.

GDH Water is the core business sector of Guangdong Holdings Limited, a state-owned enterprise in Guangdong Province; it is a large comprehensive water operation platform integrated with multiple water businesses including raw water, tap water and sewage treatment. Up to now, GDH Water has invested in water projects in more than 30 cities; its assets, income and profit are at the top of the list in China. Shantou is a city with tap water earlier in China. Founded in 1907, Shantou Waterworks General Company is a state-owned enterprise with more than 110 years of history; its assets are good. With standardized management, advanced technology and sufficient talent reserve, it is a leading enterprise of the water-supply industry in eastern Guangdong.

　　12月15日上午，汕头市粤海水务有限公司举行揭牌仪式，开始正式运作。根据协议，粤海水务以17亿元增资扩股汕头市自来水总公司，持有该公司51％的股份，该公司相应更名为汕头市粤海水务有限公司。
　　粤海水务是省国企广东粤海控股集团有限公司的核心业务板块，是集原水、自来水和污水处理等多种水务业务于一体的大型综合水务运营平台。截止目前，粤海水务已投资30多个城市水务项目，资产、收入及利润名列全国前茅。汕头是国内较早通自来水的城市，汕头市自来水总公司创建于1907年，是一家具有110多年历史的国有企业，公司资产优良，管理规范、技术先进，人才储备充足，是粤东片区供水行业的领军企业。
