On February 25 - 27, Thailand Economic and Trade Delegation with more than 60 members, which was headed by Lin Guoxin, Chief Representative of Guangdong Economic and Trade Representative Office in Thailand and President of Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, visited Shantou, and signed strategic cooperation framework agreements respectively with Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Area, Jinping District and Chaoyang District, etc.

According to those agreements, the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Thailand intends to invest in the construction of Asia-Pacific World Trade Center Plaza in Xinjin Section of New East Coastal Area, including a five-star-hotel, the living service facilities for foreign businessmen, and an international commodity purchasing and trading center, to further promote the development of Shantou＇s foreign trade and the level of internationalization. In addition, in the western section of Jinping District, it will build the five-star hotel with the international famous brand, an international financial building anda high-grade apartment,buildingsand set up the  incubator for high-tech enterprises, so as to serve China-Israel Entrepreneurship Park and build  a good international communication platform for Shantou University, Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology; In Guiyu Town of Chaoyang District, it will invest in the construction of the industrial park andan advanced logistics park of green circulation economy,  so as to promote industrial structure adjustment and innovation in Chaoyang District and form a green innovation and development model. Meanwhile, China Construction Bank and the Bank of China will also strongly support the development of Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, and respectively grant it a credit of RMB 10 billion; China Everbright Bank will also grant it a credit of RMB 2 billion.

　　2月25日至27日，由广东省驻泰国经贸代表处首席代表、泰国广东商会会长林国鑫担任团长的泰国经贸代表团一行60多人莅汕访问，分别与华侨试验区以及金平、潮阳区等签订战略合作框架协议。
　　根据协议，泰国广东商会拟在东海岸新城新津片区投资建设亚太世贸中心广场，包括五星级酒店、外商生活服务设施及国际商品采购交易中心，进一步提升汕头市对外贸易发展和国际化水平。此外，还将在金平西片区投资建设具有国际知名品牌的五星级酒店、国际金融大厦及精品公寓，设立高新技术企业孵化器，服务中以创业园区，为汕头大学和广东以色列理工学院两所高校打造一个良好的国际化交流平台;将在潮阳区贵屿镇投资建设绿色循环经济的产业园区和先进物流园区，助推潮阳区产业结构调整和创新，形成绿色创新发展模式。与此同时，中国建设银行和中国银行也大力支持商会的发展，各为商会授予了100亿元的授信，光大银行也为商会授予了20亿元的授信。
