On the morning of April 25, the delegation of the presidents of Hong Kong Kowloon Chaoshan associations visited Shantou; the honorary adviser of the delegation was served by Guo Hengbin, Vice Director of the Kowloon Work Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People＇s Government in the Hong Kong S. A. R., and the head of the visiting delegation was served by Yang Yucheng, President of Hong Kong Kowloon East Chaoren Association.

Fang Lixu, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, expressed his thanks to Hong Kong Kowloon Chaoshan associations for their long-term care and love for their hometown. He hoped that the fellow townsmen would often visit their hometown, support, encourage and give an impetus to their hometown as always, actively participate in the construction of various economic and social programs in Shantou, and jointly add new luster to the development of Shantou Special Economic Zone. Guo Hengbin said that the tremendous achievements of recent years in Shantou＇s development have been made, and he was full of confidence in Shantou＇s new progress in the new era. He hoped that Shantou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government would continue to give strong support to the work of the Liaison Office of the Central People＇s Government in the Hong Kong S. A. R., so as to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and Shantou. Yang Yucheng said that they would care and support for the development of hometown as always, publicize the good development situation in Shantou, promote more investors to invest and develop in Shantou, and offer advice for and make joint contributions to the development of Shantou.

　　4月25日上午，由中联办九龙工作部副部长郭亨斌任荣誉顾问、九龙东潮人联会会长杨育城任团长的香港九龙潮籍社团首长考察团莅汕访问。
　　市委书记方利旭对香港潮籍社团长期以来对家乡的关心热爱表示感谢，希望广大乡贤常回家乡走走看看，一如既往地给予支持、鼓励和鞭策，积极参与汕头经济社会各项事业建设，共创特区发展新辉煌。郭亨斌表示，近年来汕头发展日新月异，令人倍感振奋，对汕头在新时代取得新辉煌充满信心，希望汕头市委、市政府继续大力支持中联办工作，共同推动香港和汕头两地加强交流合作。杨育城表示，将一如既往关心支持家乡建设，宣传汕头发展良好态势，带动更多的投资者到汕头投资兴业，共同为汕头发展出谋献力。
