Main Construction Trestle of Shantou Niutianyang Bridge Runs Through

On October 19, the steel construction trestle on the North Bank of the Niutianyang Bridge, a control project of Niutianyang Fast Track project of the city, was successfully closed. At this point, the main construction trestle of about 2 km in total length on the south and north banks of the bridge runs through completely. The trestle is the "lifeline" of the construction at the north and south banks of the Rong Jiang River which the bridge crosses, and its closure provides a guarantee for material transportation and mechanical allocation and creates favorable conditions for the main construction of the bridge.
At present, the Niutianyang Bridge has entered the substantial construction stage, and the construction of main structure pile foundation is being rolled out. The construction of subgrade, bridge and interchange of the Niutianyang Fast Track project is also accelerating. After the completion of the project, it will go through the three districts of Jinping, Haojiang and Chaoyang of our city, and will join Shantou-Kunming Expressway in the north, Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway in the south, connect with National Highways 206 and 324 as well as urban main roads including Jinfeng, Jinshaxi and Chenghai roads, span the Rong Jiang River waterway, connect Sanyuwei and Niutianyang, thus becoming a fast west ring road in the central urban area.

汕头牛田洋特大桥施工主栈桥贯通
10月19日，我市牛田洋快速通道项目控制性工程牛田洋特大桥北岸施工钢栈桥顺利合龙。至此，该特大桥南北岸合计长约2公里的施工主栈桥全部贯通。作为大桥榕江南北两岸的施工“生命线”，栈桥的合龙为材料运输、机械调配提供了保障，为大桥主体施工创造了有利条件。
目前牛田洋特大桥已进入实质性施工阶段，正铺开主体结构桩基等施工，牛田洋快速通道项目的路基、桥梁、互通等建设也正加快推进。项目建成后，经我市金平、濠江和潮阳三区，将北联汕昆高速公路、南接汕湛高速公路，联通国道

线以及金凤、金砂西、澄海路等城市主干道，跨越榕江水道，连接三屿围和牛田洋，成为中心城区快速西环线。
