With a view to adhering to the stable development of imports and exports, accelerating the pattern transformation of foreign trade and increasing the overall economic competitiveness, Shantou will arrange a special fund for importing, which accounts to 8 million RMB yuan appropriated by the Municipal Finance Department every year, in the next three consecutive years to promote the growth of importing. Recently, Shantou government has released the Tentative Methods for the Use and Management of Shantou Special Fund for Importing in order to standardize the management on the special fund and give full play to its benefits.

As stipulated in the Tentative Methods, the special fund is mainly used to support the business entities, which have registered in Shantou and have been legally approved with an import and export license or registered for the record of foreign trade dealers, so as to introduce goods and technology encouraged by the government.

　　为保持外贸进出口平稳发展，加快外贸发展方式转变，提升经济综合竞争力，我市自今年起连续3年每年由市财政安排800万元作为促进进口专项资金，以期撬动进口增长。近日，汕头市政府出台了《汕头市促进进口专项资金使用管理暂行办法》，以规范专项资金管理，发挥资金使用效益。
　　根据《暂行办法》规定，促进进口专项资金重点用于支持在本市注册、依法取得进出口经营资格或依法办理对外贸易经营者备案登记的企业法人进口我市鼓励进口的产品和技术。
