Recently, Shantou Alliance for High-performance Biodegradable Environmentally-friendly Materials was established in Longhu District. As the first strategic new industry alliance in Shantou, the establishment of the alliance will encourage relevant enterprises to untie and create a regional brand, promote sharing of research resources, boost commercialization of research findings, nurture upstream and downstream industry chain, propel settlement of key problems such as weak capability of independent innovation for enterprise, low industrial agglomeration and shortage of talents etc, and effectively enhance the overall competitiveness of Shantou＇s new environmental protection material industry in market at home and abroad.
