Recently, the Institute of Financial Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Social Science Documentation Publishing House jointly issued the 2013 China Urban Competitiveness Blue Book. Shantou was ranked the 58th of the top 100 cities selected from approximately 300 Chinese cities and the 7th of the 11 cities of Guangdong Province ranked among the top 100 cities, next to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan and Zhuhai.

　　日前，中国社科院财经战略研究院和社会科学文献出版社联合发布了《2013年中国城市竞争力蓝皮书》。在中国城市综合经济竞争力排名中，汕头在近三百个城市中脱颖而出进入全国百强，位列第58名，在我省进入全国前百强的11个城市中位列第七，居深圳、广州、佛山、东莞、中山、珠海之后。
