Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is the second largest free port in the Middle East as well as a key region in which Shantou enterprises invest in their Going Global campaign. The UAE Chaoshan Chamber of Commerce, with the active support from the CPC Shantou Committee and the municipal government and after strenuous preparation by all parties, was incorporated last February and will be inaugurated on April 7, 2014.

Over 10 years ago, Chaoshan businessmen began to do underwear, toys, wedding dress and electronics businesses in UAE and the UAE Chaoshan Chamber of Commerce has now over 60 member enterprises. Chairman Chen Qixiong said, the Chamber will encourage enterprises to set up economic entities and contribute to the development of the Maritime Silk Road in the 21st century.

　　阿联酋迪拜是中东第二大自由港口，也是我市企业“走出去”对外投资的重点地区。在市委市政府的大力推动下，经过各方紧锣密鼓的筹备，阿联酋潮汕总商会于今年2月成立并将于4月7日揭牌。
　　潮商进入阿联酋已有十多年时间，经营领域涵盖了内衣、玩具、婚纱礼服、电子等众多产业。阿联酋潮汕总商会目前已有60多家会员企业。会长陈启雄表示，商会将发动企业成立经济实体，为21世纪“海上丝绸之路”发展贡献力量。
