On April 1, morning, Deputy General Manager Cheng Ning of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited and Northeast Asia President Zeng Fanzhong of Siemens Medical Diagnosis Group headed an investment delegation to Shantou to survey the local pharmaceutical industry and hold talks on cooperation.

When the 5th East Guangdong Overseas Chinese Expo took place last November, the municipal government and Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation on such projects as Siemens medical diagnosis, Wang Lao Ji grand health, medicine production, medicine logistics and pharmacy chains.

Mayor Zheng Renhao said during the meeting that the pharmaceutical industry develops early in Shantou and boasts now of a sound industrial foundation and a considerable business scale. He hoped that the long-term strategic partnership would promote the growth of the pharmaceutical industry in Shantou. The delegation members echoed that they would exert their brand and market advantages and cooperate with the municipal government and local enterprises for mutual success on both sides.

　　4月1日上午，广药集团副总经理程宁、西门子医学诊断集团东北亚总裁曾繁忠带领投资考察团考察我市医药产业发展情况，洽谈合作事宜。
　　去年11月省第五届粤东侨博会举办期间，市政府与广药集团签订了战略合作框架协议，在包括西门子医疗诊断、王老吉大健康、药品生产、医药物流配送、医药连锁等多个项目上开展战略合作。
　　市长郑人豪在会见考察团时表示，汕头医药产业发展较早，目前已具备一定的产业基础和发展规模，希望通过建立长期战略合作伙伴关系，推动汕头医药产业做大做强。考察团表示，将发挥品牌和市场优势，加强与市政府及汕头医药企业合作，实现发展共赢。
