The Standing Committee of the Municipal People＇s Congress has recently approved the proposal of the municipal government to support the application for the Guangdong East-West-North Renovation & Development PE Fund. The fund thus raised will be used in principle on the development and construction of the Zhugang New Town, the starting point of the Haiwan New District.

In accordance with the relevant requirements on fund application, the municipal government has decided that Shantou Haisheng Investment Development Co., Ltd. will be the cooperative party in fund, Shantou Zhugang New Town Investment Development Co., Ltd. will serve as the project company of the cooperation platform (with planned contribution in 330mu land at Beishan Bay), and Shantou Investment Construction Corporation will counter purchase the project. The project company＇s scope of development covers the primary land development and relevant public facilities of the Zhugang New Town, and the projects to invest in include the public works and support facilities of Zhugang New Town section and Huangcuowei section, the new Jinhe Bridge, Zhongshan Road East extension, Taishan Road South, the reservation of about 1400mu land and 200mu land reclamation from the sea. The total investment will be about 8 billion yuan and the construction will be carried out in three phases.

　　日前，市人大常委会批准市政府议案，为申请粤东西北振兴发展股权基金提供支持。此次所融资金原则上用于海湾新区起步区珠港新城片区的开发建设。
　　根据基金申报的有关要求，市政府确定由汕头市海晟投资发展有限公司为基金合作主体，汕头市珠港新城投资开发有限公司作为合作平台项目公司，并以北山湾330亩土地为拟注资土地资产，汕头投资建设总公司作为项目回购主体。项目公司开发范围为珠港新城土地一级开发及相关市政配套设施项目，拟投资项目包括珠港新城片区、黄厝围片区市政及配套、新津河大桥、中山东路东延、泰山南路以及约1400多亩土地收储和200亩填海工程等，总投资规模约80亿元，分三期建设。
