On the morning of September 5, Yao Zhenhua, Chairman of Baoneng Group and Foresea Life Insurance, and his party inspected Shantou, and had in-depth exchanges with Shantou City on strengthening strategic cooperation, and reached a high degree of consensus on the specific cooperation projects. Subsequently, Acting Mayor Liu Xiaotao signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Baoneng Group on behalf of Shantou Municipal Government.

According to the Agreement, Baoneng Group will build the science and technology park, financial center, exhibition center, cultural center and their supporting projects in Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Experimental Zone and create new landmarks in Shantou at China＇s first-class level. In addition, the two sides will conduct cooperation in food industry, high-end health care, electric cars, car rental and other projects, and accelerate the development of science and technology, finance, manufacturing and health care industry in Shantou. Currently, the preliminary work of six major projects has been conducted. The total project strategic investment will exceed RMB 48 billion. The construction of the science and technology park will be started before the end of this year.

　　9月5日上午，宝能集团董事长、前海人寿董事长姚振华一行莅汕考察，与我市就加强战略合作进行深入交流，并就具体合作项目达成高度共识。随后，代市长刘小涛代表汕头市政府与宝能集团签订战略合作框架协议。

　　按照协议，宝能集团将在华侨试验区建设科技园、金融中心、会展中心、文化中心及其配套项目，以全国一流水平，打造汕头新地标。此外，开展食品工业、高端医疗健康、电动车和汽车租赁等项目合作，推动汕头科技、金融、制造业、医疗保健产业加快发展。目前，6大项目已开展前期工作，项目战略总投资超过480亿，其中科技园将在年底前动工建设。
