On the afternoon of April 15, China (Shantou) —— Canada High-tech Project Matchmaking Meeting is held in Shantou.This event was guided by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and jointly organized by Shantou Foreign Affairs & Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau and Canadian COCPDC. Project roadshow, negotiation and matching were conducted. During that period, French COCPDC and the relevant enterprises in Shantou also held the signing ceremony of cooperation.
 

Since 2001, the Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China (hereinafter abbreviated as “COCPDC”) organized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council has been held in Wuhan, Hubei Province for 16 consecutive years.The science and technology delegation of Canadian COCPDC which visited Shantou this time included several government officials of Toronto and Paris, professors of famous universities in Canada and members of the board of government investment institutions. They brought 12 road show projects, including long-range water purification technology, thermal spraying technology and its new applications, high precision detection technology of nasopharyngeal carcinoma recognized by WHO, and battery recycling technology, covering medical treatment, aerospace engineering, green environmental protection technology and other fields.

　　4月15日下午,中国(汕头)——加拿大高新技术项目对接会在汕举行。本次活动由国务院侨务办公室指导,市外事侨务局和加拿大华创会联合主办,进行了项目路演和洽谈对接,期间法国华创会也与我市有关企业举行合作签约仪式。

　　由国务院侨办等单位主办的华侨华人创业发展洽谈会(简称华创会),自2001年以来已连续在湖北武汉举办十六届。此次莅汕访问的加拿大华创会科技考察团嘉宾包括多伦多、巴黎多位政府官员,以及加拿大知名大学教授、政府类投资机构董事会成员等,带来了远程水净化技术、热喷涂技术及其新应用、世界卫生组织认可的鼻咽癌高精准检测技术、电池再生技术等12个路演项目,涵盖医疗、航空航天工程、绿色环保科技等领域。
