On the afternoon of June 29, a delegation led by Zhou Guangming, Chairman and Permanent Honorary Chairman of the Board of Teo Chew Society of Australia, inspected Shantou, and had in-depth exchanges with Shantou City on strengthening friendly relations with hometown fellows and making concerted efforts to promote the revitalization and development of Shantou. 
 

At the meeting, Chen Liangxian, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, hoped that Chairman Zhou and Teo Chew Society of Australia would care and support the development of Shantou as ever, frequently return hometown to visit relatives and friends, go sightseeing & inspect, offer more valuable advice, and jointly promote the overall revitalization and development of Shantou.
 

Zhou Guangming said that the earth shaking changes in Shantou encouraged the people of Chaozhou origin in Australia, and Teo Chew Society of Australia would unite overseas Chinese in Australia, boost Shantou to accelerate revitalization and development, and promote the friendship between China and Australia.
