On the afternoon of October 10, through public bid-inviting, auction and listing, Shantou Wanda Plaza Investment Co. Ltd. won the right to use land on the northeast side of the border between Chaoshan Road and Jinhu Road with a transaction price of RMB 266 million. The planned investment of the project is RMB 1.5 billion. Within two years, the project will be built into a commercial complex integrating with shopping, dining, culture, entertainment, the Internet entity experience and other functions.

Shantou Wanda Plaza is planned to be started in October this year and to be put into use in October 2019. The project covers a total area of 64,000 square meters (6.4 hectares) while the total floor area is approximately 145,200 square meters. The project is the fourth generation of full-intelligent commercial complex project, which is first project focusing on modern service directly invested and constructed by Wanda Group. Through the use of the intelligent integrated management platform, the project will built into the "Shantou Jinping Intelligent Experiential Shopping Center", and will be taken as Wanda’s innovative project to become a national benchmarking.

　　10月10日下午，汕头万达广场投资有限公司通过公开招拍挂，以2.66亿元成交价竞得潮汕路与金湖路交界东北侧地块的使用权，计划投资15亿元，用两年时间建成集购物、餐饮、文化、娱乐、互联网实体体验等多种功能于一体的城市综合体。
　　汕头万达广场拟于今年10月动工，2019年10月投入使用。项目总用地面积约6.4万平方米(96亩)，总建筑面积约14.52万平方米。该项目是万达集团直投建设的第一个以现代服务业为主的第四代全智能商业综合体项目，将通过智能化综合管理平台的运用，建设“汕头金平智能化体验型购物中心”，并作为万达创新项目打造全国性标杆。
