On the morning of December 23, the operation of the Technology Innovation Center of the National Hi-tech Zone (Jinping District) (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) was officially started in China and Israel (Shantou) Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone. The Center now has 131 various types of engineering technology R & D centers, technology centers and testing centers at all levels. It will rely on Shantou University and Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, introduce domestic and foreign well-known universities to cooperate with local enterprises for joint construction, give full play to the advantages of talents and technology in universities, build a technological incubator platform with multi-party collaboration of the government, universities and enterprises, and promote regional industrial transformation and function enhancement. Next, the Center will closely cooperate with Beijing Normal University, Jiangnan University, Sun Yat-sen University and other universities in the preparation for building more high-quality research institutes, technology transfer centers and other technological innovation service platforms, guide and encourage enterprises to actively introduce high-level talents, comprehensively promote industrial transformation and upgrading to a new level, and build a strong growth pole of regional economic development.

　　12月23日上午，国家级高新区(金平区)科创中心在中以(汕头)科技创新合作区正式启动运行。中心现有各类各级工程技术研发中心、技术中心、检测中心共131家，将依托汕头大学和广东以色列理工学院，引进国内外知名高校与本地企业合作共建，充分发挥高校人才与技术优势，构建政府、大学、企业多方协同的科技孵化平台，带动区域产业转型与功能提升。接下来中心还将与北京师范大学、江南大学、中山大学等高等院校密切合作，筹建更多优质的研究院和技术转移中心等科创服务平台，引导和鼓励企业积极引进高层次人才，全面推进产业转型升级迈上新台阶，打造区域经济发展的强劲增长极。
