In order to further promote the development of the medicine industry and the massive health undertaking and strengthen the scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and Hong Kong, on January 3-4, Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation Delegation, which was composed of 26 persons and was led by Professor Zhan Huaqiang, Director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine R & D Center of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, visited Shantou and conducted the targeted docking and exchange activities for the medicine and health industry.

On the afternoon of January 3, Shantou Municipal Government held a meeting for the exchanges between Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation Delegation and the relevant departments of Shantou City and the pharmaceutical enterprises in Shantou. Professor Zhan Huaqiang introduced the purpose of the Delegation to Shantou. They hoped to seek cooperation opportunities with the local enterprises in Shantou in terms of the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, the big data application of traditional Chinese medicinal materials, and the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine and so on. The members of the Delegation and the heads of the pharmaceutical enterprises in Shantou respectively introduced the technical research situation and the business development situation.

During their stay in Shantou, the Delegation also visited Guangdong Huiqun Chinese Traditional Medicine Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Life Strong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., had exchanges with them, and reached cooperative intentions with some enterprises.

　　为进一步推动医药产业和大健康事业的发展，加强汕港两地科技交流合作，1月3日至4日香港科技大学中药研发中心主任詹华强教授率领香港科技合作团一行26人来汕访问, 开展医药健康产业精准对接和交流活动。
　　1月3日下午，市政府举行香港科技合作考察团与汕头市相关部门及汕头制药企业交流座谈会。詹华强教授介绍了考察团此行来汕目的，希望与汕头本土企业寻求在中药国际化、中药材大数据应用、中药现代化等方面的合作机会，共建产学研平台。考察团成员和我市制药企业负责人纷纷就经营发展情况及技术研究情况作了发言。
　　在汕期间，考察团还到广东汇群中药饮片股份有限公司、广东万年青制药有限公司参观交流，并与部分企业达成合作意向。
