On the morning of March 19, Shantou High-tech Zone, Jinping District and Shantou Unicom jointly held the Ceremony for Signing the Strategic Cooperation Agreement and Unveiling the Nameplate of East Guangdong Big Data Center, to work toward new heights in the big data industry in East Guangdong.

Relying on Shantou University,Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and otherinnovative resources, Shantou High-tech Zone and Jinping Districtwill concentrate their efforts on building "eight centers and focus on building East Guangdong Big Data Center, so as to set up a communicating bridge between the government, enterprises and industrial associations, promote further integration of the "Internet plus" and big data with the real economy, ensure the security of data, and create new drivers for Shantou to accelerate the construction of the digital city and achieve the effective transformation from the traditional economy to the digital economy.

 　　汕头高新区、金平区将依托汕头大学、广东以色列理工学院等创新资源，集中建设“八个中心”，重点打造“粤东大数据中心”，搭建起政府、企业和行业协会之间的沟通桥梁，进一步推动“互联网+”、大数据和实体经济深度融合，保障数据安全，为我市加快数字城市建设、实现传统经济向数字经济的有效转型增添新动力。
