On May 12, Shantou Chaoyang District held a discussion meeting on the transformation and upgrading of textile and garment industry and the starting ceremony of the "Urban Zhigu" Shantou Industrial Park project.
The "Urban Zhigu" Shantou Industrial Park project is located at the junction of Gurao, Tongyu and Guiyu with a planned land area of 700 mu. There will be a global design center, a financial service center, a global clearing center, a global order-taking center, a brand center, a purchasing supply chain center, a logistics distribution center. Through the polymerization effect, we achieve industrial upgrading and build a knitting clothing supply chain industrial cluster which is based on Gurao and influences eastern Guangdong or even the whole country. The first phase of the project plan involves the investment of 1.2 billion yuan to build factories and dormitories. It is planned to start before the end of May this year. Fifty percent of construction progress will be completed by the end of 2019 and it will be finally completed in June, 2020.

“都市智谷”汕头产业园项目启动
5月12日，我市潮阳区举行纺织服装产业转型升级座谈会暨“都市智谷”汕头产业园项目启动仪式。
“都市智谷”汕头产业园项目位于谷饶、铜盂和贵屿交界处，计划用地700亩，园区内将设立全球设计中心、金融服务中心、全球结算中心、全球接单中心、品牌中心、采购供应链中心、物流配送中心,通过聚合效应实现产业升级，构建立足谷饶、辐射粤东乃至全国的针织服装供应链产业集群。项目首期计划投资12亿元，建设厂房、宿舍等，计划于今年5月底前动工，2019年底前完成施工进度50%，2020年6月完工。
