This year, Shantou City has concentrated its resources to strengthen the construction of transport infrastructure. Centering on building a national integrated transportation hub and a sub-central city of Guangdong Province, Shantou City has accelerated the construction of highways and other transport infrastructure projects, promoted the progress of a large number of key projects including Chaoshan Ring Road, Niutianyang Expressway and Bay Tunnel as planned, and continuously improved the layout of comprehensive transportation planning. From January to November this year, a total of RMB 8.73 billion was invested in Shantou's transport infrastructure, up by 26% year-on-year, hitting a new high in the same period. It is expected that this year over RMB 10 billion will be invested in Shantou's transport infrastructure.

汕头今年将完成交通基础设施投资超百亿

今年来，我市集中力量加强交通基础设施建设，我市围绕打造全国性综合交通枢纽、建设省域副中心城市，加快推进高速公路等交通基础设施项目建设，潮汕环线、牛田洋快速通道、海湾隧道等一大批重点项目按计划推进建设，不断完善综合交通规划布局。今年1至11月，全市交通基础设施建设完成投资87.3亿元，比增26%，创同期新高，全年预计完成投资超100亿元。
