On the morning of September 26, the groundbreaking ceremony for the site change and expansion project of Joint Shantou International Eye Center of Shantou University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong was held in Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Experimental Zone. The project has an actual land area of 20 mu, a total construction area of 57,000 square meters, and 300 beds will be provided. The total investment of the project is 384.91 million yuan. The hospital is supported by teaching, bridged by scientific research, and designed with the philosophy of promoting the development of ophthalmology. The high-level modern hospital will be established based on intelligent diagnosis technology, advanced medical means, scientific research cooperation industrialization, hospital management automation, medical space artification, medical treatment training systemization, and public welfare closed annulus.

汕头国际眼科中心易地扩建项目开工　

9月26日上午，汕头大学·香港中文大学联合汕头国际眼科中心易地扩建项目开工仪式在汕头华侨经济文化合作试验区举行。该项目实用地面积20亩，总建筑面积5.7万平方米，床位设置300张。项目总投资38491万元，以教学为支撑，科研为桥梁，推动眼科专业的发展为设计理念，将建成以诊断技术智能化、医疗手段先进化、科研合作产业化、医院管理自动化、医疗空间艺术化、医护培训体系化、公益救助闭环化的高水平现代医院。
