On November 24, the launching ceremony of the 3rd Shantou "Mayor Cup" Industrial Design Competition with the theme of "Designing Shantou to Create an Intelligent Future" and the Release Conference of Shantou's Industrial Design Research Achievements was held at the city's Industrial Design Center. Approximately 300 people including industry organization representatives, experts and scholars, entrepreneurs and designers gathered together to discuss the innovative development route for Shantou's industrial design industry.

The city will hold the 3rd "Mayor Cup" Industrial Design Competition in a form of "government leading, industry integration and cluster innovation" in 2020. The sponsor hopes that through the holding of the competition, the industrial design innovation achievements of the city will be comprehensively discovered, collected and summarized, industrial design talents in the city will be gathered and cultivated, and an efficient and cohesive platform for industrial design interactive communication will be built, so as to attract more industrial design companies and high-end design talents to come to Shantou and realize their dreams, and promote the better and faster development of Shantou's industrial design industry.

汕头启动第三届“市长杯”工业设计大赛  

11月24日，以“设计汕头智造未来”为主题的汕头市第三届“市长杯”工业设计大赛启动仪式暨汕头市工业设计研究成果发布会在市工业设计中心举行。行业组织代表、专家学者、企业家、设计师等约300人齐聚一堂，共同探讨汕头工业设计产业创新发展路径。  

我市将于2020年以“政府主导、行业整合、集聚创新”的形式组织举办第三届“市长杯”工业设计大赛。主办方希望通过大赛的举办，全面发掘、汇集、总结我市工业设计创新成果，聚集和培育我市工业设计人才，搭建高效的、有凝聚力的工业设计互动交流平台，吸引更多工业设计企业、高端设计人才在汕头落地生根、成就梦想，推动汕头工业设计产业更好更快发展。
