The two-day 2019 Shantou Triathlon Asian Cup and National Championship kicked off in Nan'ao county on November 30, attracting more than 600 athletes and enthusiasts from 19 countries and regions to gather on the beautiful coast of South China Sea.
  
The triathlon competition consists of three items in order: swimming in natural waters, road cycling, and road running. On the morning of November 30th, the Asian Cup and the National Championship elite men's and women's competitions were held. The competition is fierce as this Asian Cup is regarded as the International Triathlon Union intercontinental event, and in which the competitor's scores serve as a significant reference on selecting the athletes for Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.At the end of the competition, athletes from Japan won the top three in the Asian Cup men's groups while the top three in women's groups were won by players from South Korea, Japan and China, respectively.

2019年汕头铁人三项亚洲杯赛暨全国锦标赛在南澳开幕

为期两天的2019年汕头铁人三项亚洲杯赛暨全国锦标赛11月30日在南澳拉开战幕，来自19个国家和地区的600多名运动员及爱好者齐聚美丽的南海之滨。

铁人三项比赛由天然水域游泳、公路自行车、公路长跑三个项目按顺序组成。11月30日上午进行的是亚洲杯及全国锦标赛男女子优秀组比赛。由于本次亚洲杯赛为国际铁联洲际赛事，参赛成绩将对运动员获得2020年东京奥运会参赛资格具有参考意义，因此竞争十分激烈。最终，来自日本的运动员包揽了亚洲杯男子组前三，女子组前三名分别由韩国、日本和中国选手获得。
