On the afternoon of April 18, Vice Mayor Lin Yimin met Huang Qiufa, President of Phil-Chinese Chaoshan Fraternity Association, Lin Han, President of Phil-Chinese Chaoshan Junior Chamber of Commerce, and their delegation, and had a friendly communication with them.

For more than 40 years since its establishment, Phil-Chinese Chaoshan Fraternity Association has achieved remarkable outcomes in uniting the folks of Chaozhou origin,  strengthening the friendship between the people from Chaozhou, establishing the platform for common development of Philippine and Chaozhou businessmen, as well as promoting trade  and cultural exchanges between Philippine and Chaozhou. Huang Qiufa said that the purpose of this visit is to enhance cultural exchanges with each other. He hoped to introduce into the Philippine the traditional culture with Chaoshan elements, such as the culture related to Chaoshan big gongs and drums and Chaoshan fine foods,  so as to promote the development of Chaozhou businessmen.

　　4月18日下午，副市长林依民会见了莅汕访问的菲华潮汕联乡会会长黄秋发、菲华潮汕青年商会会长林翰一行，宾主双方举行了亲切交流。
　　菲律宾菲华潮汕联乡会成立40多年来，在团结广大潮籍乡亲，敦睦乡谊，搭建菲律宾与潮商共同发展，促进潮菲两地商贸往来、文化交流等方面做了很多卓有成效的工作。黄秋发表示，此行目的是为了增强相互之间的文化交流，希望把潮汕大锣鼓、潮汕美食等具有潮汕元素的传统文化引进到菲律宾，带动潮商的发展。
