On the morning of July 21, Shantou Starry City Bay Paradise, an upgrade and renovation project of entertainment facilities in the Children's Park with great attention from citizens, attracted many citizens and residents of surrounding cities. As of 9 o'clock that night, the Children's Park had received about 50,000 visitors.
  
Starry City Bay Paradise adopts a mode of the park admission being free while entertainment facilities charging separately, which allow visitors to enjoy more independent choices. During the opening period, recharge preferences with different quotas and specially-priced entertainment projects are provided. The entire park has as much as 19 amusement facilities, including Ferris wheel, space walk, luxury double-decker horse-spinning, four-ring roller coaster, super-fantastic roller coaster, Giant Frisbee, fly tower and so on. The sizes of some facilities are in the forefront in eastern Guangdong and even in the whole country. In view of the parking issue that citizens are most concerned about, Starry City Bay Paradise opens a new large-scale parking lot free of charge from the opening day to July 31, providing 400 parking spaces for citizens. The parking lot in the west park of the Children's Park can also accommodate 200 cars. A variety of entertainment projects and complete supporting facilities allow visitors of various ages to enjoy the all-weather experience.

汕头星城湾欢乐世界盛大开业

7月21日上午，备受市民关注的儿童公园游乐设施升级改造项目“汕头星城湾欢乐世界”盛大开业，吸引了不少市民及周边城市的居民。截至当晚9时，儿童公园共迎来游客约5万人次。

星城湾欢乐世界采取入园免门票，游乐设施单独收费的经营模式，让游客享有更多的自主选择权，开业期间还推出不同额度的充值优惠以及特价游乐项目。全园游乐设施多达19项，包括摩天轮、太空漫步、豪华双层转马、四环过山车、超炫过山车、大摆锤、飞行塔等，部分设施规模在粤东地区乃至全国范围都属前列。针对市民最关心的停车问题，星城湾欢乐世界在开业当天至7月31日免费开放新建大型停车场，为市民提供400个停车位，儿童公园西园停车场同样能容纳200辆汽车停放，丰富多样的游乐项目与完备的配套设施让全年龄游客享受全天候体验。
