Shantou has entered the list of China＇s Top 100 Cities in Electronic Commerce Development, ranking 63rd, according to the Report on E-commerce Development Index of Chinese Cities in 2013, published recently by Ali Research Institute.

At the end of 2011, Shantou was granted the title of "National E-commerce Model City" by the eight key ministries and commissions under the State Council. Since then, the city has been striving to explore new paths for development in e-commerce with Shantou＇s charicteristics, pushing forward the healthy and fast development of its e-commerce industry through the industrial integration strategy, namely the combined development of e-commerce in business entities, and accelerating the integration of e-commerce and other industries, in a bid to help push forward the expansion of consumption and the adjustment of economic structure, and to make e-commerce a new highlight in the city＇s development.

　　近日，阿里研究院发布了《2013中国城市电子商务发展指数报告》。汕头入围全国电商发展百佳城市，在全国排名第63位。
　　我市自2011年底荣获国家八部委授予的“国家电子商务示范城市”称号以来，努力探索具有汕头特色的电子商务发展新路子，通过电子商务与实体产业融合发展，以产业抱团的形式推进电子商务产业健康快速发展，并推动电子商务与其他产业加速融合，助推扩大消费和经济结构调整，电子商务产业成为汕头发展新亮点。
