Recently, the delegation of Dutch China Trade and Economic Promote Association visitedShantou, and had discussion and exchanges with Shantou City on enhancing the friendship between Shantou and Overseas Chinese with Shantou origin in the Netherlands andmutually achieving common development.

Hu Zhiguang, head of the delegation, senior advisor of Dutch China Trade and Economic Promote Association and advisor of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, highly praised the current change of Shantou City. He said that the development of Shantou is advancing with the "speed of special economiczone".The city’splanning and development efforts are quite amazing.Particularly, there are many economic and trade opportunities and advantages on the three platforms including Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Zone, Shantou Hi-tech Zone, and Shantou Harbor-related Economic Zone. He also said that he would make more contributions to the exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and the Netherlands in related fields.
