On the morning of December 6, Liu Yahuang, Standing Vice Chairman of China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association and President of Macao Chiu Chow General Chamber of Commerce, and his party inspected Shantou, and had in-depth exchanges with Shantou City on relevant cooperation projects.

In the meeting, Chen Liangxian, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, expressed his hope that the folks of Chaozhou origin would seize the period of important strategic opportunities for development in Shantou, concern themselves with and support the construction of their hometown as ever, and seek cooperation. Liu Yahuang said that  gratifying changes had taken place in the city appearance of Shantou, and  the folks of Chaozhou origin are very optimistic about the future development prospects of Shantou  and have full confidence in the future development of Shantou. Macao Multinational (Holdings) Group plans to ally with several listed companies to invest in and construct "Wanqiao Zhihui City" in Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Area, and,  oriented by overseas Chinese culture,  to push forward the construction of Shantou "Qiaomengyuan", while  promoting the landing of overseas Chinese businessmen＇s technological innovation investment funds in Shantou, and to create overseas Chinese innovative financial service center.

　　市委书记陈良贤在座谈中希望广大潮籍乡亲把握汕头发展的重要战略机遇期，一如既往关心支持家乡建设、寻求合作。刘雅煌表示，汕头城市面貌发生了喜人变化，广大潮籍乡亲十分看好汕头发展前景，对汕头未来发展充满信心。澳门万国控股集团拟联合多家上市企业在华侨试验区投资建设“万侨智汇城”，以侨文化为主导，推动汕头“侨梦苑”建设，同时推动侨商科创投资基金落户汕头，打造华侨创新金融服务中心。
