On the afternoon of April 3, nearly 200 people, including the presidents of chambers of commerce for businessmen from Chaoshan around China and the leading officials of Shantou Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce), gathered together in Shantou to renew friendship with hometown people and propose many constructive and pertinent opinions and suggestions in terms of business environment, platform construction, strengthening management for creating a national civilized city, talent introduction and  rural revitalization in Shantou, etc.

Fang Lixu, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, said that Shantou is the common home of businessmen from Chaoshan. He hoped that businessmen from Chaoshan would continue to pay more attention to Shantou and publicize Shantou, offer more valuable suggestions for the construction of their hometown, introduce more high-quality projects, advanced technology, and high-level talents to Shantou, and work together to make new progress in the development of Shantou. Shantou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government will  seize the opportunity, ride on the momentum,  vigorously push Shantou toward a high-quality development stage, and accelerate the construction of the provincial sub-central city. Mayor Zheng Jiange responded to the suggestions made by the presidents and entrepreneurs present at the meeting. He hoped that the businessmen from Chaoshan present at the meeting would actively  invest and promote business in Shantou,  participate in the construction of their hometown, and help boosting the overall revitalization and development of Shantou.
