Shantou Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone Intends to Introduce Large Projects by Putting in Industrial Support and Incentive Funds to Develop New Types of Business

Recently, the provincial government has intensively introduced 24 items of "important" policies to support the high-quality development of the Shantou Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone. The pilot zone will concentrate on new economic projects and the emerging new industries such as artificial intelligence, supply chain finance and e-commerce live broadcasting, and dedicate to introduce a number of high-end and large-scale industrial projects.
The pilot zone plans to invest 30 million yuan in industrial support and incentive funds each year in order to provide strong policy support for introducing modern finance and attracting overseas Chinese-funded enterprises to settle in the overseas Chinese pilot zone. Meanwhile, it has introduced special talent policies to attract and encourage outstanding enterprises including the overseas Chinese-funded ones and the high-end professionals to settle in the overseas Chinese pilot zone. It has completed in advance the element guarantee of the major projects in terms of water, electricity, gas, land, environmental impact assessment and so on, further simplified the approval items, shortened the processing time and decreased the tax burden of enterprises, thus creating a first-class business environment to ensure that the projects can be attracted and ready to settle down and give their full play. Additionally, the pilot area is actively exploring the use of artificial intelligence, 5G and other new information technologies to empower traditional industries, realize industrial transformation and upgrading, and make useful attempts to help enterprises in equity and debt financing, so as to help them with their financial problems.

汕头华侨试验区拟投入产业扶持奖励资金引进大项目，发力新业态
近日，省政府集中推出24条“重磅”政策，支持汕头华侨试验区高质量发展。试验区将着眼新经济项目，围绕人工智能、供应链金融、电商直播等新兴业态集中发力，致力引进一批高端和投资规模大的产业项目。
试验区每年计划投入产业扶持奖励资金3000万元，为引进现代金融和吸引侨资企业落户华侨试验区提供有力的政策支持。同时，出台特色人才政策，吸引、鼓励包括侨资在内的优秀企业和高端专业人才落户华侨试验区。提前做好各大项目的水、电、气、土地、环评等要素保障，进一步压减审批事项、缩短办理时限、降低企业税负，着力营造一流营商环境，确保项目引得来、留得下、干得好。此外，试验区积极探索利用人工智能、5G等新型信息技术赋能传统产业，实现产业转型升级，并在帮助企业股权、债权融资方面作出有益尝试，帮助企业解决好资金难题。
