Shantou Hosts 2021 "Maker Guangdong" SMEs Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

On August 7, the final of the 2021 "Maker Guangdong" Shantou SMEs Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Shantou, which was guided by Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance, sponsored by Shantou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Shantou Municipal Bureau of Finance, and organized by the Shantou Electronic Information and Software Industry Association, the School of Entrepreneurship of Shantou University and the Youth League Committee of Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. After the preliminary and semi-final competitions, a total of 12 enterprise group projects and 13 maker group projects stood out and reached the final.
This year's "Maker Shantou" competition focuses on "green manufacturing", involving new generation information technology, advanced manufacturing and other fields. The contestants came from Henan, Fujian and other provinces and cities, with works from Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Shantou University, Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, University of Zurich and other domestic and foreign universities, as well as local leading enterprises, including national "little tech giants", and provincial SMEs that apply special, sophisticated techniques to produce unique and novel products. The on-site road-show of the Competition was conducted in the form of the speeches of the participating projects, comments of expert judges and contestants' defense. Finally, the top six in the enterprise group and maker group advanced to the provincial competition.

汕头举行2021年“创客广东”中小企业创新创业大赛
8月7日，由广东省工信厅、广东省财政厅指导，汕头市工信局、汕头市财政局主办，汕头市电子信息和软件行业协会、汕头大学创业学院、广东以色列理工学院团委承办的2021年“创客广东”汕头市中小企业创新创业大赛决赛在汕举行。经过初赛和复赛的比拼，共有12个企业组项目和13个创客组项目脱颖而出进入决赛。
本届“创客汕头”大赛重点围绕“绿色制造”，涉及新一代信息技术、先进制造业等领域，参赛选手来自河南、福建等多个省市，作品来自复旦、中大、汕大、广以、苏黎世大学等国内外高校和省级“专精特新”、国家级“小巨人”等本地龙头企业。大赛现场路演采取参赛项目演讲、专家评委点评、选手答辩的形式进行。最终企业组、创客组前六名晋级省赛。
