The First 500 kV Intelligent Substation in Eastern Guangdong has Been Completed and Put into Operation

On the morning of January 16, Chenghai 500 KV Power Transmission and Transformation Project, a provincial key construction project and the first 500 kV all-indoor intelligent substation in eastern Guangdong, was successfully completed and put into operation. The completion of Chenghai Substation would greatly enhance the power supply capacity of the transmission grid in northern Shantou, making a strong support for the power supply of the Liuhe Industrial Park and the Chenghai area, and provide a stronger power guarantee for the surrounding Chaozhou City.
Chenghai 500 kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project has set up two transformers with a capacity of 750 MVAs, four circuits of 500 kV outgoing lines, and a total of 39.1 kilometers of new lines, including 10 kilometers of new lines in Shantou section, with a total investment of about RMB 714 million. As the first 500 kV intelligent substation in eastern Guangdong, by replacing traditional cables with optical cable transmission, and using a high-speed network communication platform, Chenghai Substation has made further use of various advanced applications such as intelligent inspection, intelligent operation, and intelligent safety, greatly improving the level of intelligence and digitalization of power grids.

粤东首座500千伏智能变电站建成投产
1月16日上午，省重点建设项目、粤东首座500千伏全室内智能变电站——500千伏澄海输变电工程顺利竣工投产。澄海站的建成，将大大提升汕头北部输电网的供电能力，对六合产业园和澄海片区的电力供应形成强大支撑，并向周边的潮州市提供更坚强的电源保障。
500千伏澄海输变电工程新建2台750兆伏安容量的变压器，500千伏出线4回，新建线路共39.1公里，其中汕头段10公里，总投资约7.14亿元。澄海站作为粤东首座500千伏智能站，通过光缆传输代替传统电缆，采用高速网络通信平台，进一步实现智能巡视、智能操作、智能安全等多种高级应用，极大地提高了电网智能化和数字化水平。
