Shantou Will Build the Largest Exhibition & Convention Center in Eastern Guangdong

As the Lunar New Year begins, Shantou Exhibition & Convention Center and the supporting hotel project, a key industrial project located in Shantou East Coastal New Town, is being stepped up. It will become the largest exhibition & convention center in eastern Guangdong, helping Shantou strengthen and expand its exhibition economy.
The Project is close to the East Campus of Shantou University. The preliminary design plan will take into account the landmark, practicality and economy, highlighting the traditional Chaoshan culture and the characteristics of "overseas Chinese" culture. The construction contents consist of two parts: an exhibition & convention center, with a gross floor area of nearly 140,000 square meters, including 37,000 square meters of ground and underground parking lots; and a five-star hotel, with a gross floor area of about 56,000 square meters, and outdoor landscape greening, roads and plazas, etc. The construction of the Project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2024.

汕头将打造粤东规模最大展会中心
新春开局，位于我市东海岸新城的重点产业项目——汕头市展会展览中心及配套酒店项目正加紧推进中，将打造成为粤东地区规模最大的展会展览中心，助推汕头做大做强会展经济。
该项目毗邻汕头大学东校区，初步设计方案将兼顾地标性、实用性和经济性，彰显潮汕传统文化和“侨”文化特色。建设内容包括两部分：展会展览中心总建筑面积近14万平方米，其中地面和地下停车场面积达3.7万平方米；配套建设一座五星级酒店，建筑面积约5.6万平方米，以及建设室外景观绿化、道路广场等。项目力争在2024年6月30日前完成建设。
