On June 2, a business delegation from Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce, led by Ma Hongming, Chairman of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce, visited Shantou, and had exchanges with Shantou with a view to promoting deeper cooperation between Shantou and Hong Kong, renewing compatriot friendship, sharing their love for their hometown, and jointly seeking new development in cooperation between Shantou and Hong Kong.
Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, expressed heartfelt thanks to Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce for its long-term care and support for the development and construction of Shantou. He hoped that Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce would continue to act as a bridge and bond, guide more people in Hong Kong to return to Shantou to visit their relatives and friends, make investigation and exchanges, and invest and do business. Ma Hongming said that his hometown Shantou has made unprecedented headway, and unleashed greater social and economic vitality. And he is full of confidence and expectations for Shantou to follow the path of “promoting the industry for vitalizing and strengthening city development”.
During their stay in Shantou, the delegation visited the Expo Center of Chaoshan History and Culture and the Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone, and went to Shantou Zhong Lian Pay Technology Co., Ltd. to hear the briefings.

香港潮州商会商务考察团莅汕
6月2日，由香港潮州商会会长马鸿铭率领的香港潮州商会商务考察团一行莅汕，与我市就推动汕港两地加深合作进行交流，畅叙乡情乡谊，共谋汕港合作新发展。
市委书记温湛滨对对香港潮州商会长期以来关心支持家乡的发展建设表示衷心感谢，希望商会继续发挥桥梁纽带作用，引导更多在港乡亲回汕走亲访友、考察交流、投资兴业。马鸿铭表示，家乡面貌日新月异，经济社会发展活力迸发，对汕头走好走实“工业立市、产业强市”之路充满信心与期待。
在汕期间，考察团先后到潮汕历史文化博览中心、华侨试验区参观，并前往汕头市众联支付科技有限公司听取情况介绍。
